COLUMBUS, Ohio – Spectrum News 1 today announced its exclusive live broadcast of the U.S. Senate GOP primary forum, featuring three candidates vying to be the Republican Party’s Senate nominee: Ohio State Senator Matt Dolan, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and businessman Bernie Moreno. The eventual winner of the primary will challenge Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in the 2024 general election. Moderated by Spectrum News 1 anchor and host of “In Focus: Ohio” Mike Kallmeyer, the hour-long forum will take place at University of Findlay on Monday, February 19 at 8 p.m.

“Ohio's U.S. Senate race is one of the key races in 2024 and carries significant implications for both Republicans and Democrats across the country as they try to secure the Senate majority,” said Karl Turner, Senior News Director of Spectrum News 1. “The forum is an opportunity for Ohioans to gain deeper insights into these candidates and the critical issues facing the state. The knowledge gained will empower voters to make informed decisions at the ballot box in the March primary election.”

Each candidate will respond to questions posed by Kallmeyer in front of a live audience at University of Findlay.

Decision 2024: U.S. Senate GOP Primary Forum” will air exclusively on Spectrum News 1 on channel 1, and via the Spectrum News App on mobile, Xumo, Roku and Apple TV streaming devices.
